This would be quite the steal for the Pubbies, although Durkin still has quite the hill to climb. (About $4 million worth.) But I did find it interesting that GOP sources are paying more attention to this race.

Wow, Durkin versus Durbin. If I were either of these guys, I'd be the first to run a "That's Durkin with a 'K'" ad or "Durbin with a 'B'" ad. I predict that whoever runs that type of ad first wins.

Steve Neal is obviously insane. I can't respect the opinion of any who gushes over the unprincipled McCain.

Durbin is ranked as a 90 percent liberal on economic issues, 79 percent liberal on social policy, and 86 percent liberal on foreign policy. His conservative rating averaged 6.5 percent

Durbin's ACU rating is ZERO!

I worked for Cox, one of Durkin's "millionaire opponents" in the primary. But as troubling as his coziness with McLame is, I will support him in the general election

As long as he'll vote for the judicial nominations, we'll be in good shape.

John McCain, who may well be the most respected member of the U.S. Senate, is also a genuine independent.

Where is the Barf Alert - I almost lost my breakfast!

McCain respected, by who liberals? He's about as conservative as any typical RINO. He would be much more comfortable as the keynote speaker at any mushy democratic event, where he could plot with his comrades how to take away our Constitutional rights.

McCain, an Arizona Republican and decorated Navy fighter pilot, won Michigan's presidential primary with Democratic and independent crossover votes.

No, McCain got a large number of votes from union goons and Bush haters whole sole purpose in voting that day was to vote for McCain to make Bush look bad. Had McCain gotten the GOP nomination, 99 out of 100 of them would have voted for Gore in November.

Wow. I read the first couple of paragraphs and thought, "Where's the nuclear barf alert?"
But it looks like McCain may do something to help his own party this time.
Durbin is a genuine scumbag.
