Thank you indeed! I was fortunate to know Barbara. We do a lot of things with Houston Republicans, and her sister is active up there. I got to meet Barbara at a party honoring her. She mixed and mingled with the crowd, talked to each of us for a long time, and then she was featured speaker for an hour or so. She was so petite, so tiny. She had on high heels, she was standing on a step, and I still towered over here. We had about four or five Barbaras there talking to her at the same time - it was a riot! She was just so warm, friendly, nice and genuine! I had her sign my copy of Hell to Pay and I treasure it. I got it out to re-read it lately, along with The Final Days... I think we NEED to refresh ourselves since Bill isn't goin away, and Hillary is here to stay!
Thank you for your tribute to BKO and BCM. I also lost another old friend in the World Trade Towers on 9-11. Tu Ahn Knobel, who had just had her first child a few weeks before that, and had only been back at work two days. She leaves behind the beautiful Vivienne and her husband who has recently had a cancerous kidney removed. He is in his fifties. God Bless Them All!
Just another Barbara
