Schools in Prince George's County Maryland closed early today because thunderstorms were expected. School systems started closing because of the threat of snow in recent years and now they are closing early due to the chance of thunderstorms.
Politician and educators complain that the kids don't spend enough time in school but theu close early for rain.
Unbelievable!!

There was that tornado nearby the other day. The school systems in MD may never recover.

Spoiled brats. In my day....we didn't have rain to trudge through in order to get to school. Nosiree bob.
We had to go to school in dry weather. Yessir, no umbrellas to carry, no raincoats to wear. And now that they have rain, they don't want their kids walking in the stuff. What is this world coming to?

Maybe they should add the 'heat index' and the 'frost forcast' so that they can better protect the 'churldren'.

Politician and educators complain that the kids don't spend enough time in school Well, I sure don't complain about that. The less time spent in a government school the better. I'm for more days off.

This is kinda silly. The only time classes were affected when I was a child was either when there was a tornado watch (parents could come pick up their children) or a tornado warning. We never had a warning, thank God.

When I was living in West Virginia, they let the schools out early one day because there was a threat of high wind.
