All new projects should be ignored for at least 2 weeks, they will most likely get canceled anyhow.True enough. That why "Rule #1" in the Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy is "Don't Panic".

I prefer the George Costanza method of limiting time spent in meetings. Say something hilarious, then while everyone is laughing get up and say, "Well, that's it for me!" and leave.

Undertime is known more commonly by its pseudonym, paid public service. Bingo! If I hadn't known it was written by a journalist, I'd have guessed federal employee.

It's been my observation that such morons usually target talented underlings for downsizing under some incredible theory that having an incompetent staff will make themselves appear even more intelligent.Managers have learned that it's better to have 100 idiots working for them than one genius. A manager's "under time" is then spent looking busy in managing the idiots. Besides, the genius may be such a good worker that people start to wonder why there's a manager there in the first place.
