I'm with the wackos on this one. They should have used their guns. I've put plenty of deer along side the road down with mine.

interesting enough my ex-brother in law and ex-VA state trooper,
told me about one of his buddies got in trouble for about the same thing
on the side of the road rather than shoot the animal he slit it's neck
He didn't want to spend the next week trying justify using his gun.
Many people were complaining to the HQ about his actions.
People It's a Freaking Deer. If they live they would total your car, and probably kill you in the process.
