Dear steve-b: The theory of evolution is only a THEORY, yet is taught to public school children as if it was proven fact. The very order of the universe, both non-biological and biologica, is a testimony to the intelligent design of everything in the universe. Where are the "missing links?" Nowhere, because they do not exist. Why don't fossil records show gradual development of one species into another, but instead show abrupt beginnings and ends of species? Because species can adapt and mutate, but they can't evolve into another species. A bird with webbed feet, as opposed to having non webbed feet, is still a bird. BUT the public schools push this matra, because it is central to their political ambitions to remake our society, by eliminating Absolutes and the SOurce of our Liberty, as per the Decleration of Independence-our Creator. THus, RIghts & Wrongs become rights & wrongs, not specified by GOD, but rather by the State. Men dictate what their rights are, ant this sits well with evil men who gain control of civil government. Franklin warned, "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As people become more vicious, they have more need of masters." Thus, Clinton's mantra of "a cop on every corner," ie-we need Big Brother government to maintain law and order, thus dictating our conditional rights, in the process remaking values. GOD help our children and grandchildren.
