Christ, it was embarrassing. This pretty much sums up the whole problem with the RCC. You'd never hear a good Catholic use Mary's name in vain.

Yeah, and the only time I ever hear the other members of the Holy Family spoken of by other Christian sects, Christ's mother is merely and insignificant afterthought. God might as well have chosen your mother (or mine) I guess.
You are very much correct in criticizing the other Freeper taking the Lord's name in vain, however.

One I knew, when he got thoroughly pissed and started ranting and raving would first exhaust all the possibilities with the Lord's name, then start in on the Angels and Saints. Of them, Mary was first in line. Sad, really; when he was sober his language was impeccable.

I grew up with Irish priests and as I recall one of their favorite expressions was: "Jesus, Mary and Joseph, why did ya do that Tom!" And that was in the confessional!.
