NEW YORK (CNN) -- Attorneys for a former law student, who discovered evidence linking U.S. corporations to the slave trade, filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday that could seek billions of dollars in reparations for the descendants of slaves in America.

What do I think about reparations? Why, I think paying out billions is not enough! We should make it hundreds of billions of dollars that we pay out! But, there is just one minor stipulation: You must be a former slave to get slave reparations.

LOL. A guy founds a single bank in a single town hundreds of years ago. Over the next 150 years it buys up a couple more banks, growing a bit. Then in the last 50-100 years it grows into this huge conglomerate owned not by one guy but by shareholders. Yeah, the current bank and its owners, the shareholders, are sure to blame for something that happened 200 years ago.

If I was polled about this, I would say NO! NO! NO! I can't believe that this stupidity even made it to court! This should be dismissed, and the judge fine the lawyers for filing a frivilous lawsuit! This is an excellent case for "loser pays" laws

Well, one problem is you're probably a white boy, and as such, the leftist welfare pimps have already deteremined that you are guilty. So, you owe money because you are related to the slave owners. Get your check book out and start writing, you mean, ol, nasty white boy, you.

Here's an idea, every black person who doesn't think they have the highest standard of living and the least amount of persecution BECAUSE this country has bent over backwards to give them equality (and in some cases superiority or preference) gets a free ticket BACK to Africa and our sincerest apology.

Someone should remind them that chattel slavery was legal until after the Civil War. It was terminated by a Constitutional Amendment. There is no crime.

Lets see here, the Mogols owe some people, so do the Italians for that Roman Empire incident. India had an empire, so did the Aztecs, Incas, Naitive Americans, Greeks, Iranians (Persia) etc. All of which used slaves in one way or another.

To hit more at home for the Reparations gang, the mighty and successful Egyptian Empire. All those beautiful structures. The material used to make all those things. Who did all that? SLAVES!!!!!!!

Probably %90 of the slaves traded in Africa were traded so before the US was even a country.

Not to mention the fact that most of the money is going to be used to buy drugs and luxury items by people who continue to get welfare.

Tomorrow I am going to write to each of these firms, FleetBoston Financial, CSX and Aetna-corporate headquarters-and request that my letter be turned over to the attorneys representing them in this astoundingly insulting and outrageous lawsuit. It makes me sick. I have a few ideas that these attorneys may want to consider, if they have not already done so.

I want to also encourage them to stop this nonsense in its tracks. This is the stuff of PC gone haywire. It is ultimately nation dividing as it is endless once begun.

What about the simple fact that, aside from no one living is to blame, slavery was LEGAL when these companies profited. How can these companies possibly be penalized other than by a 'Politically Correct' Kangaroo court?
