DuPage County is and already has been a very heavily Republican county. 85% Republican turnout would not be extraordinary, especially if there were any primary contests. (I lived in DuPage County for about 19 years.)

DuPage county was once a Republican stronghold. The scary fact is that about 50% voted for Gore in the last election and recently, Democrat candidate signs were everywhere. It's only a matter of time unless the apathetic in DuPage wake up and get moving and pro active. Sad but true...you wouldn't recognize it today. It's changing to socialism like the rest of the state.
