Huh? The tax is only against globalists? It won't hurt US citizens? How about if it takes our citizenship and sovereignty away and forces us into the global communism that everyone in the UN thinks is so cool?Globalists aren't my fellow countrymen. I could care less if the global commies tax the living hell outa them. Communism has been proven to be a failed economic system that collapses under the weight of its own tyranny. This tax is the first step towards that collapse -- it encourages each nation to be more self-sufficient and less involved in international trade (in order to minimize tax obligations). As usual, the commies don't understand the implications of the taxes they seek to impose -- they are self-defeating!!!
This is fine by me!!!

19 January 2000 Senator Jesse Helms (R-NC) Speech to the United Nations Security Council ........................... this is a great speech addressing why we (USA) do not want to have anything to do with the UN. available on the website for the Center for Security Policy. www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org

Please read
The Charter for Global Democracy and tell me it won't effect you.
Principle number 3 demands an independent source of revenue for the UN, such as the "Tobin tax" and taxes on aircraft and shipping fuels, and licensing the use of the global commons. The "global commons" are defined to be "outer space, the atmosphere, non-territorial seas, and the related environment that supports human life."
Related environment can conceivably be the air you breathe. Do note that the west coast of the United States gets pollution blown across the Pacific from China, Canada has complained for years about acid rain coming from the south, etc. Communications satellites will require licensing of outer space.

I support U.S. withdrawel from the U.N., NATO, WTO, NAFTA etc. etc.
RINO globalists oppose me on this.
It is fitting that the UN should tax the RINO globalists.

I knew he would when he announced his 5 billion dollar aid package. I still worry though. The UN will hold out for a "favorable" president. Our best bet is getting the Senate back under control - and keeping it.

Thanks for the link. Good information in this time when conservatives are in turmoil about the president they fought so hard to get elected (and the disaster they averted by preventing Gore from gaining the office). With CFR and alien amnesty causing so many to apparently jump ship, good news about our President's calls is nice to hear.
Bush needs to start reconnecting with those of us who sacrificed time and resources to get him elected and clearly spell out why he's doing what he's doing. He's the President. He knows a lot more than we do, and his superior knowledge is likely governing the courses he chooses. To the extent he can, he needs to convince us of that.

It might hinder U.S. corporate globalism, but it would give the globo-socialists enough financial clout to easily take over the world - something they can't currently do without vast amounts of financial assistance and acquiescense from Western nations.
