Ok, is this a joke?? No, why don't they sweeten their tea in VA? :)
Actually some of the sweetest tea has been here in Virginia Beach. When we'd ask for sweet tea in AZ or OH, they just looked at us and said, "there's sugar on the table".

don'no -- butch'all come on down here, an' I'll make some sweet mint tea. MMMMMM-mmmm!
My biggest problem is that my daughter grew up here in Flor'da; win I ask her for a "pin" (so ah kin write sumthin'), she keeps giving me a straight pen -- lack those we use to hold on are head coverings. She takes ok to correcting, tho'...she kin speak fine win she recalls to.

Did you know that in Texas tea doesn't ever come pre-sweetened? Thats because we are independent & we want to do it for ourselves. Sweeten our tea for us & we'll kick your ass.

Do you know why they don't sweeten their tea in Virginia? It's cause we're rough 'n tough and we don't need no pansy-assed sweeteners in our tea, that's why.

We sweeten our tea in southwest Virginia. I asked specifically for unsweetened tea the other day and got the sweet stuff. A lot of restaurants will bring sweet tea if they don't ask you for a preference.

Well, you have to understand that Virginia is pretty much a northern state these days.
