I am having a problem of stammering. Please guide me by giving some duaa for it.

Answer 4621

2002-01-09

We understand your problem and can only imagine what you are really going through. We make Du'aa unto Allah Ta'ala, our Creator and the Creator of every limb of our bodies to make you fluent and eloquent in speech, Aameen.

As for the cure, we suggest that you go to the relevant professionals, i.e. speech therapists, etc. Once you have visited them to no avail, regard your problem as the decree of Allah Ta'ala and remain pleased with it. We should not become obsessed with things that are not in our control. If we do so, they only lead to stress and frustration, and they sometimes even become impediments in the line of our progress in other avenues of our lives.

Therefore, do whatever is within your means and leave the rest to Almighty Allah Ta'ala, The Most Wise. The day Allah Ta'ala wants you to speak fluently, there won't be anyone to match you, Insha Allah. Remember, sustenance is in the hands of Allah Ta'ala. There is no higher post that one can be appointed to that being made a prophet. Hadhrat Moosa (Alayhis salaam) despite the stammer in his speech was appointed as a prophet (one who would take the message of Allah Ta'ala to millions of people). So what are you worried about? In our midst, there are deaf and dumb people who are earning millions and ruling great empires. The future is in Almighty Allah Ta'ala's hands, leave it to Him.

Firstly, you may practise upon the following prescription of some Ulama:
After Fajr Salaat, take a clean (washed) stone, place it in your mouth and recite the following Aayat of the noble Qur'aan 21 times, 'Rabbi ishrah liy sadriy, wayassir lit amriy, wahlul uqdatan min lisaniy, yafqahoo qawliy.' and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best

I gather "Hadhrat Moosa" is Moses. If so, this is in line with what the Bible says. Moses did indeed stutter.

Well, actually the advice he gives here isn't too bad. It makes a lot more sense than some of the others I've seen from the same source. Note his reference to Moosa (Moses). This is in Jewish and Christian tradition also.

I don't find much that is so horrible with this particular answer... up until he tells the guy to put a stone in his mouth and start chanting various spells / incantations.

and bluefish knows stuff

Oh, it can get a lot better. I like this one.....

Generally when non-Muslims sneeze, others say God Bless You, can the Muslims say the same thing to them. Otherwise what should they say?

Answer:
A Muslim should wisely avoid responding to the sneeze of a non-Muslim.

If he has to respond for whatever reason, then he may say, 'God bless'

My initial response was "This has GOT to be a humor site." Then I wondered why folks wanted to ask a famous supermodel for her opinion on Islamic matters. Only when I visited the website was I convinced that this was "for real." Then amusement turned to anger and disgust as I read this:

Was Usama Bin Ladin justified in destroying those buildings in New York?

Usama Bin Ladin has recently come close to admitted he planned the destruction of those buildings in New York, on his last tape he sent to Al Jazeera TV. if Allah would have wanted those buildings destroyed, would he not have done it himself (as in earthquake, flood)? or would Allah have allowed the buildings built in the first place if he didn't want the people to have them? do you think Bin Ladin is "hijacked Islam" for his cause of killing people, as some say? Can you give reference from Qur'an and Hadith? May the goodness of Allah be with you

Answer 4643

We have no information regarding him admitting this deed. He did not admit doing this nor is there conclusive proof showing he is guilty of this crime.

If Allah Ta'ala wishes to destroy someone or something, he employs various methods or people to carry out the destruction. Sometimes, he employs 'natural' forces and sometimes he uses other people to carry out this destruction which is actually a form of His divine punishment.

Now that's going way beyond merely being quaint! But don't worry, it must also be Allah's will that we're going to kick their behinds until they never dare attack us again. And I'll let "them" decide who "they" are.
