Hi Joe,

Noticed the interest this morning and I'm not sure how to post properly so I thought I'd pass on to you the state of things as I know today.The fire dept. has stated conclusively that it was arson but will not elaborate to anyone. Belinda is in the hospital again.This has just been too much for her in addition to her physical problems.She was eager to post a "thank you" to all Freepers;she has just been overwhelmed.Could you post a general expression of her gratitude to all those and explain that she has not forgotten and will contact them as soon as possible.As Herb's sister-in-law,I too am so grateful for all of the interest and help.

I can't imagine the pain the Chief's wife must be in.

It's must be incomprehensible to her and the family how something like this could've happened.

I'm very much interested in JUSTICE being served in this case - and hope that someone puts constant pressure on the POLICE - the squeaky wheel theory.

It's so sickening to me that someone would terrorize and terminate the 2nd Freeper that is on my first private "Bump List," right after LadyX! Sadness beyond words and now the torment for his spouse...

Thanks for the update, BADJOE. I was thinking about Chief the other day and wondering what was up with the investigation, and if it was, in fact, arson. I hope the police stay on it! I'll be sure to keep Belinda in my prayers.

Please offer my sad regards. And whoever the arsonist is, I hope they catch the SOB. I have two relatives who were fire fighters. As if their job isn't dangerous enough, they have Islamic wackos crashing planes into buildings, enviro-wackos that think fish are more important than fire fighters' lives, and arson wackos who are out to collect insurance money [the usual reason]. Freegards....
