US Commando's Body Expected in Pak City (MAJOR John Bolton?)

QUETTA: The body of a U.S. commando captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan has been handed over to the Red Cross and is expected in this Pakistani border city, a Taliban official said here.

Maulvi Hammad said the body of Major John Bolton, who Taliban sources Sunday claimed died of kidney failure at a hospital in Kandahar, would arrive here in a day or two, SADA reported Monday.

He added that more than 20 US commandos, accused of spying, were being held by the Taliban.

Bolton, who had apparently been arrested recently, had identified himself as Major Mohammad Ayub but failed to convince the Taliban militia that accused him of spying for Washington.

The US is bombing Afghanistan for harbouring Osama bin Laden, prime suspect in the terror attacks in New York and Washington.

This is the first I've heard that Bolton was a commando. Before he was just a "relief worker". Nothing that you hear and 1/2 of what you see? Anyone else hear anything about this? I was wondering how and why relief workers were in Afghanistan from the U.S.

I think the Taliban hold this Major almost as dear as they do the 70 to 100 other American soldiers, the 4 planes, and the 5 helicopters that they've shot down. Oh, and toss in that "B-52 fighter jet" they shot down the other day.

they are "stealthy", but very high maintenance....you have to keep reapplying the "radar obsorbing cheese"....

Uh... huh uh huh.... I'm surprised to be the first to mention that a guy by the name of "John Bolton" (which by the way sounds like he belongs in the movie commando more than being a real one. Was trying to pass himself off as Mohammed... I realize it's possible but when was the last time you have heard of a full blooded american name belonging to someone who looks like an arab?
