How anti-American of you to post this while we're at war!! How dare you give information that might make people uneasy about the Justice Department having more power??? They've ALWAYS used the power they have judiciously, haven't they?

I am so nauseated and disgusted by this I can hardly express the fullness of it.

Welcome to the Partnership For A No-Knock America...they're getting bigger and stronger every day!

(Of course, when you can rummage through people's private info without even their knowledge...who has to knock?)

Is this the Administration that was just supposed to be light-years ahead of Clinton...and better than Gore?

"Meet the new boss...same as the old boss..."

"Same as it EVER was..."

I don't care if Dubya treats his wife and family better than X42 TRIMPOTUS.

I don't care if Gore is a tree-huggin' maniac.

Someone please attempt to convince me how THIS new law makes Dubya better than his Big Government Dem Predecessors.

I dare you.

You're just going to have to get past your "luvya Dubya" phase a bit and take a look at this.

".... But we will get to those later.... and, you can trust us.... because we have never done anything wrong before....and...we are your government...you can trust us..."

You know, everything is slowly starting to make sense - The whole past 9 years. Nothing like this, and I mean nothing, could have been passed under Klinton and the entire government not be dragged into the streets and "dismissed" from their duties.

About the only pride I have left is being able to say, "Hey, I voted for Harry".

It was suppose to be anyway. In July when I posted a thread about some of the crap Bush was pulling I got flammed to no end. I was told. "What do you expect in 6 months? He has a plan you dont know about and he will save the world when the time is right"

Well, since then Bush, his administration and Congress have done more to make big government bigger, gave the fumbling bumbling incometents at alphabet agencies more power than ever before, taken away more American citizens rights than Bill Clinton dreamed of.

What jumps out at me from this summary is the fact it only took 3 days to get through the House and Senate and signed by Bush

People fought tooth and nail for years against measures far lesser than these. Now in three days they've become law. Absolutely sickening.

I rememeber that. I was with you all the way.

Well, since then Bush, his administration and Congress have done more to make big government bigger, gave the fumbling bumbling incometents at alphabet agencies more power than ever before, taken away more American citizens rights than Bill Clinton dreamed of.

This is an important point. I kind of remember a couple alphabet agencies a couple months back that "somehow misplaced" thousands of pages of documents pertaining to a mass murder case, that were supposed to be turned over to the defense team in a Federal trial. One way to look at it is like this: If someone is incompitent, you dont give them any more responsibility or power. But if that same person is just being misleading or "intentionally incompitent", then I guess they were actually doing their job and deserve more power. And, the person giving the new power would obviously know of this "intentional incompitence".

First thing I'd like them to repeal is your right to free speech. Isn't Oprah on? Why don't you go watch it.

That's very cute, but what is your opinion of the bill that was signed into law? Or don't you actually have one?

Or is your head in the sand

If the best you can do is a catty little remark...maybe YOU'RE the one who should tune into Oprah.
