Also throw in Napoleon. Born of Italian heritage on Corsica he went on to rule France. Napoleon too was belittled and disdained by others around him when he was a boy. Other boys often picked on him. Let's see.... Nostradamus- 3 Anti-Christs - Napoleon, Hitler, Bin Laden? -All 3 apparantly built grudges from childhood and had great feelings of being an outsider.

It is interesting to note how often despots come from a different ethnic group than the one over which they exercise their despotism.

Alexander the Great: the Macedonian ruler of the Greeks.
Napoleon: the Corsican Emperor of the French.
Joseph Stalin: the Georgian tyrant of Soviet Russia.
Adolf Hitler: the Austrian dictator of Germany.

One could go on about the varying ethnicities of the royal houses of Europe...but the guiding principle of tyranny is to govern one's own people as if they were conquered subjects of a foreign enemy.
