BTTT It's a bright light in the unfolding events. Not getting as much coverage due to other serious issues, but I agree - we're pretty darn proud about the Mariners!

Regular season wins mean nothing. If you can't win in the playoffs, what good is 117 or 162 wins? Talk after you've won the World Series, because, unless they do that, the season is a total and complete failure.

Damn it. I am hoping against hope that the road to the World Series will not have to go through Seattle for us.
Being a Cleveland fan however, we are used to losing. Winning would set this town into a frenzy.
Better you than New York my friend.

I have the privilege of saying, the remarkable success of the Mariners proves once again that anyone who doesnt live in Seattle is immutably indifferent to what takes place there

Congratulations! Now get that cap icon ready for the playoffs!

Just wait until they get to The Bronx.
Hehehehehe...

What the h*ll happened to the Mariners this year? Has ANYONE been able to explain how a TEAM with few--okay, "no"--superstar talents has been able to dominate as Seattle has?
Bear in mind all you who think this is ho-hum: This is over a 162-game season. That MEANS something. This is no fluke, which is what the NFL "champs" have been the last five or six years.
Analysis?

You're allowed the vanity.
Congrats to the Mariners. That's an impressive record, no matter what. Even the second place Oakland A's chalked up a better record than the other two division winners.
I've seen enough Yankee world series to last a century, so I hope it's either Seattle, Cleveland, or Oakland representing the American League!

We're pretty damn happy up here in the NW. Good. It's fleeting so enjoy it.

Congrats, but realize that glory is fleeting. Do you know that those 1906 Cubs are the last Chicago team to win a world series? Be careful, Seattle.
