There has been lots of talk about Ripken's prospects in politics. His name recognition and popularity in Maryland is astronomical. I don't see how this helps him. On the other hand, I don't see how Clinton could have talked without Cal's permission.
I am saddened.

Ripken probably wanted to throw up too. But he's too much a gentleman to do so.

Too bad, I liked Cal.

The emcee said that it was a surprise so I don't know if Ripken even knew he was going to be there. He was introduced as President Bill Clinton.

Hopefully there were some boos in the crowd.

Actually, it might have been good that Clinton was there. Truly good men tend to stand out even more in the presence of pure evil.

I saw a take on Cal as X42 spoke. He looked humiliated.
As always its only about him and I'm not talking about CR.

Always the bride at a wedding, and always the corpse at a funeral. This guy is nothing but me me me me me.
What a disgusting puke.

Hopefully there were some boos in the crowd. Roger that - hope everyone razzed him - poor Cal.

The impeached 42 is a re-occuring nightmare. He is an ego maniac with so little common sense to know when he's NOT WANTED ANYMORE.

Unfortunately once you have the title you are always referred to by that title. Gingrich is still referred to as Speaker, Carter is still referred to as President Carter, etc.

Get over it. Clinton now is a harmless - and powerless - has-been "celebrity." Let him cut ribbons, or judge beauty contests or do his stand-up for hardware conventions, as a thousand other past-their-prime "stars" do. Pay him no never mind, he can't hurt you anymore.

I wish the media would use this from the
Former Presidents Act.
Under subsection (f) of the Former Presidents Act, the term "former President" is defined to include those who have held the office of President of the United States of America, who are not currently holding that office, and whose service in that office "shall have terminated other than by removal pursuant to section 4 of article II of the Constitution of the United States of America". Article II, Section 4, provides that:

Technically, that's his proper honorific according to protocol.
But it wouldn't be if the Senate had done their effing job and impeached him.

I do not agree.
