Before this attack Israel was having to answer for their policies towards the Palestinian people including the Palestinian Christians. Now this attack has taking much of the heat off them.

This attack has shown the world, front and center, what Israel has to put up with on a smaller scale every day.

How does one deal with a group of people who, as the Palestinians have, written into their charter their desire to eliminate you, totally?

You fool no one with your attacks on Israel. The true nature of the Palies was revealed in 1999, when Barak gave Arafat 95% of everything he wanted, and he spit in Barak's face.

Bin Laden has made us all Israelis now. Nobody gives a damn about the Palestinians any more, and Arafat knows that.

"Nobody gives a damn about the Palestinians any more, and Arafat knows that."

Dead-on right. Bingo.

When, immediately following the attacks, it was reported how shaken Arafat and his senior staff were as they watched on TV, I told numerous folks that his shock and horror were probably quite genuine..................but not because of a bunch of dead Americans and destroyed buildings. He could give a s**t.

No, Arafat was visibly and deeply shaken because of what flashed through his brain in an instant as he saw these attacks: The absolute end of ANY hopes of EVER having a Palestinian state. It just ain't..............gonna.............happen.

That also means that he'll be marginalized, and it also means that the U.S will be soon taking a proctoscope to him and his cronies in ways he NEVER expected.

That's why the shaking in his bernoose; that's why the P.R. stunt of giving blood, etc. He's scared spitless.

Nobody? Hmm.. seems most of the Arab world has been demanding equitable treatment for them for some time. And, you know come to think of it, they are STILL tying their support of our coalition into Israel and Palestine.

Just cause you don't care doesn't mean that THEY don't..

Change that 95% to 99% and we're in total agreement. If we helped drive Israel into the sea, there would NEVER be peace in the middle east. Those who hated Israel would be off to focus on another entity. Guess who that would be.

I don't usually agree with you Sink but I do on this point. (maybe I need a rest)
Many people argue that if we had simply stayed out of the worlds business we would not be in the situation we are in today; these terrorists are reacting to our "imperialism." If we were to retreat, they would leave us alone and the terrorist threat would go away...yadda yadda yadda.

But I don't see it that way at all. If we retreat we will get more of the same and I believe this for precisely the reason you state: Israel gave the Pallies everything but the kitchen sink and they turned it down. Why? Because the goal is Israel's destruction. Their goal is not to live alone in peace and be sovereign this time, it is to destroy America.
