That's what ABC said also.
However, on NBC they are reporting it as fact. More rumors of war?

Joey Chen reported at the top of the hour on CNN that the report of recovered firemen alive was untrue. Says she doesn't know how the story got started.
Nothing anywhere else.

There is another e-mail hoax that sicko's are circulating which furthers threats ala "don't go here (substitute local landmark in your area) because of threats".

2 Fireman were rescued, not five.... and those two were rescuers had only been buried for an hour or two. This per FoxNews.

FOX spent quite a bit of time around 3PM EDT showing the guys being rescued. Who am I going to believe CNN or my lyin' eyes?

Let's see if I got this straight: five firemen found the flight recorder from one of the suicide planes in a SUV parked on the roof of the One Liberty Plaza Building. I'm losing patience with all these rumors and garbled stories that are coming out.

I remember when there was a survivor of the bridge collapse after 3 days in the rubble in the SF quake. He still died a few days later from complications of dehydration.
But, maybe there still might be a miracle survivor, but I doubt it now that almost 3 days have elapsed.
