Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, argued that President Joe Biden should have pardoned Donald Trump after the Justice Department brought indictments against the former president and pressured New York prosecutors not to pursue Trump's ongoing hush money trial.
In an exclusive interview on MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle,” Romney expressed his dismay in response to Republican lawmakers, including the presumptive Republican presidential nominee’s vice presidential prospects, rallying to Trump’s defense outside of the Manhattan courthouse where Trump’s hush money trial is taking place.

I’m not sure that accepting a pardon would be a good idea. No crime was committed.

No. Then the Dems could say Trump is a felon that was let off by Joe’s mercy.
Let this all play out, even through conviction and appeal.

Biden should pardon Trump for the “Biden indictments?”
To: rdl6989
This was a tactic from Biden Admin itself, none of this should be going on. The polling has gotten bad for Biden and this lawfare stuff hasn’t helped, but I think they are hoping once they got a guilty verdict against Trump it will be a game changer.
To: rdl6989
Can you pardon somebody from a crime they are not convicted of?
Would Biden at least have to name what Bragg’s “other crime” was?

After conspiring to charge somoeone (which we know Biden did directly, essesntially telling his AG to indict Biden, and it now looks like also working hand-in-hand with the State level prosecutions in New York and Georgia...
It would be absurd to pardon him. Trump might rightly object to is. Why pardon? Just end the prosecutions, admit it was all bunch of nonsense.
That would be the proper thing to do. Not continuing the persecution, then pardoning.

Makes me wonder if Mitt Romney says these things to attract votes. Politicians will say anything to garner a few votes.
To: rdl6989
If someone bothered to rip the front off of Romney's "house", they would find swine, and evil lucre, and sexual impropriety. He is hypocrite who has wallowed in filth all his life.
