No that one word terse response sounded exactly like a Bush Sr response. And that idiotic question posed by his retarded son sounds exactly like something that clueless moron Bush Jr would ask.

It’s so annoying reading comments like this. Too many of us are talking like if we just elect Trump, he can do this all by himself. Too many of us are only interested in electing Trump. Too many of us have convinced ourselves that showing up & voting for other political offices aren’t as important & might as well be held by a Democrat because the Reublican candidate isn’t our ideal conservative. Way too many of us are reveling in our cynicism & negativity.

What’s sad is that by doing all of those things we are inasvertently hamstringing Trump (if we manage to get him elected. There are a bunch of people on our side that seem convinced that Trump can just snap his fingers & make stuff happen. He’s a good man, but he can’t perform magic. He’s going to need Republicans in Congress- House & Senate. He’s going to need State Governors & Legislators. He’s going to need Local Mayors & Councils & School Boards. The only way he can accomplish anything is with the help of other elected officials.

We are going to have to realize that he will need a coalition & they aren’t always going to agree with us on everything or be our ideal conservative. Some of them may be establishment types. We need the most right leaning people that are electable in jurisdictions across the land. We need judges appointed to Courts across the land. We need Attorney Generals. We need a lot of things. But right now, I’d settle for our side waking up & realizing the folly of only being interested in electing Trump & assuming that he can get us headed in a better direction all by himself.

We need more than just Trump! We need effective control of our Government. That necessitates enthusiasm in electing more than one man! It also means we need to be less negative& defeatist, stop making excuses & get out there & change things 😉🤔

Yes, red-headed lassie - you are absolutely right. I know in my heart Trump will do everything he can to turn the tide and make America great again. But that is my only certainty. Hopefully he will have like minded staff and administration. But Congress if full of politicians and subject to influences that may over-ride loyalty. I understand he is already putting together his team so that when he is sworn in the Trump team is already out the gate (Derby Day today). Those trying to make him fail are formidable and they must be recognized and forcefully resisted. He needs a good press, but doesn’t have one, so the rank and file, you and me, have to all become spokespersons. But above all the Nation needs God’s blessings and direction. As one Episcopalian to another, we know that best comes from a kneeling position.

I took it from Stepan Timeshenko from Ayn Rand's "We the Living."

My other moniker is Underzog -- a joke name.

Agreed! We do have to stand on our soapboxes & be advocates for a better & conservative view. I just really want to drive home: for anyone who wants him to succeed, please make sure you vote for every other office on your ballot. Hopefully all candidates on the ballot are rabid right-wing conservatives like us, but even if they are not please vote for the most conservative candidate offered. Please consider delaying boycotts on squishy or establishment Republican until a future election where we have organized, have or ducks in a row & have made provisions to prevent handing individual political offices or entire branches of government to the left.

Obviously, I exempt from voting someone as ridiculous as a Liz Cheney. What im warning against is the virulent strain of thought on our side that has taken their irritation with establishment types & now argues that there’s a bigger war against them than the left & have taken to essentially boycotting other Republicans. I can’t think of anything less helpful or more counterproductive to Trumps Presidency & our movement than that. As I said, the Liz Cheneys have made clear their contempt & officially joined voting for Democrats. They obviously don’t deserve our votes. However most moderately conservative types that may make a criticism or disagree on an issue should not be boycotted.

Should they eventually be replaced- undoubtedly! But we need to get candidates in the primaries & winnable in the general (which takes effort & some solidarity to accomplish). Boycotting someone a little squishy & handing that office to a Democrat (who will have incumbency & financial advantages) will make the prospect of getting a true blue MAGA conservative elected far less likely. It would also hand over the enactment of voting & immigration laws that would pretty much bring about apocalypse & kill Trumps chance at succeeding 😉
