I have read recently that there is a very high suicide rate among those first responders. They saw what no human being should ever see: the raw face of pure evil.
I read a book once called “Descent Into Darkness”about the Navy divers who had to dive into the wrecked ships from the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, and it wrecked many of those good men, the horror of it.
In this case, it was even worse, with the malice, the cruelty, intentionally inflicted for the dual purpose of causing extreme physical pain or death (and in keeping with the tenets of the Koran in dealing with infidels, particularly attractive female infidels) in addition to the personal sadistic enjoyment and sexual fulfillment.
What a sick, sick grouping of people on this Earth, including that 70% of the non-Hamas Gazans who supported it.
