I am continually surprised at the people in these threads suggesting the VP nominee be from the same state as the presumed presidential nominee. Do they think the lost Electoral College votes by both nominees being from the same state will be made up elsewhere? No, extremely unlikely, so the VP nominee won’t be from the same state.
People read too much in who's going to be the potential VP nominee.
Trump needs to find somebody who's loyal and not a total moron. That's it.
He needed Pence in 2016 to solidify his relationship with the Christian Conservatives.
I'm amazed when somebody brings this point up but doesn't realize that Trump is "from" the state of NJ during the summer and he could easily stay there through November.
