and in return the house moves Heaven and Earth to pass all their priorities. This has become so ridiculous. It probably should be Speaker Jefferies. This is not divided government and no one should pretend it is.

What concerns me is that we haven’t learned from the Democrats mistakes. We repeat the same errors as they did against us Republicans.
They made two impeachments against Trump in a short 4 year period which evidently they KNEW would fail in the Senate. So why even bother?

In the public eye, it made Democrats look like vengeful fools, more inclined to sow discord rather than taking the time necessary to govern a nation with efficiency.

Likewise, our impeachment attempt of Mayorkas had zero chance to pass the the Senate. So again, why even bother?

And now we try to eat our own for the second time as Marjorie Taylor Greene wants to eliminate the House Speaker, AGAIN! Trump’s full support for Mike Johnson is based on intelligent reasoning. He knows we must stop the infighting, right now.

This mad Republican masochism displayed in Congress must stop. When will we use Congress to govern instead? We are incapable of bringing results.

Republican congressmen, more efficiency please.

It is a Cabal... A Mafia... Everything is scripted and choreographed to make us think they actually care about the people.

THEY DO NOT AND NEVER WILL.

“Full blown Communists. They just shut down the Constitutional authority and rights of the house. And in turn the Constitutional representation of the people.

May as well just send them all home. They have been rendered useless and powerless.”

R’s should press the Supremes to weigh in on this. If they hear it, it’s likely they will reflexively reply the Constitution permits the Senate to make its own rules. It’s important to get that on record, so if Trump is impeached again, a republican Senate will be free to dispatch it using this new tactic.

But no, McConnell let the crap drag on for several months.

It lasted 12 days.

“R’s should press the Supremes to weigh in on this.”

They will threaten and promise but I really doubt they will. They have now set a pretty solid pattern.

“If they hear it, it’s likely they will reflexively reply the Constitution permits the Senate to make its own rules.”

Or they will rule that “in this particular case” the Senate was right. They keep coming up with “yes but no” rulings that renders themselves immune from discretion and doesn’t actually settle anything.

It was from December 15th to Feb 5th. A full 7 weeks. And that does not include the part from September till December as the house slowly conducted it’s “hearings”.

McConnell slow walked it.

I’m sorry, that is completely incorrect. Pelosi and the Democrats didn’t even forward the impeachment articles to the Senate for them to act upon until Mid January. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/watch-live-democrats-walk-articles-of-impeachment-to-the-senate

And the Senate obviously had no control over the House holding their sham hearings.

That is what the Constitution says, whether we like it or not.
