Ukraine can’t hold lines without ‘rapid resumption’ of US aid: Think tank

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) warned Russia is gaining the initiative on the battlefield and that Ukraine “cannot hold the present lines now without the rapid resumption” of U.S. aid, highlighting the dire situation Kyiv is in while Congress debates sending more weapons.

The Tuesday ISW analysis said only the U.S. can provide critical air defense munitions and artillery shells for Ukraine that can keep them in the fight.

“Lack of air defense has exposed Ukrainian front-line units to Russian aircraft that are now dropping thousands of bombs on Ukrainian defensive positions for the first time in this war,” ISW researcher Fredrick Kagan wrote. “Ukrainian artillery shortages are letting the Russians use armored columns without suffering prohibitive losses for the first time since 2022.”

Russia has seized an area of eastern Ukraine comparable to the size of Detroit since the beginning of 2024, Kagan noted in his report.

But they’re advancing on all fronts and Russia is a shrodinger’s menace simultaneously incompetent and unstoppable* at the same time.
*Can only be stopped by American taxpayer money, supposedly.

Getting a cut? They are paid shills for this nonsense. They already got a huge cut for putting out these public service messages. DC whores get their money up front. Now are they incentivized by a bonus if they are a successful? I would be really shocked.

The Ukraine can’t hold their lines because America cannot manufacture enough munitions to give to them. Our garbage establishment disarmed us.

Sounds like Zelensky needs to get to the negotiation table and stop getting young men killed.

The war never would have happened if Ukraine stayed away from wanting to join NATO.

Congress won’t be sending weapons. They will be sending MONEY, most of which will recycle to campaign contributions for the Fall Uniparty Offensive.

When are we getting those billions from the US?

Our garbage establishment disarmed us.

Yes. And set us up with a bloated, woke, expensive, government-crony controlled procurement system in many major parts of the economy.

Meanwhile, because they were able to climb the greasy-pole of DC marxist politics, they are arrogant as hell and think the world runs according to their stupid world-view. They are leading us from one disaster to another.

How do you negotiate with the Russians given Putin’s recently announced demand for unconditional surrender? And why is there always the demand for the Ukrainians to compromise and never for the Russians?

I actually feel better about the money we spent building the Afghan army.

At least I got to see some of what US taxpayers paid for when the Taliban showed off what was left for them take.

There is no way I could see any tangibles from military spending in the Ukraine.

The greatest evidence of military spending in the Ukraine would be statements from Swiss banks and other off shore banks.

And why is there always the demand for the Ukrainians to compromise and never for the Russians?

There should be unconditional surrender.

I would also bet that Russia wouldn't take territory (or very little) if Ukraine pledges to stay neutral and out of NATO.

The demand arose because the governments of the US and Ukraine are as phony and corrupt as a $3 bill.

Look to Biden and Zelensky for the blame. Their power and control play has cost many thousands of lives on both sides of the war.

This is no rocket science, you know what salvage is right? think of it like that, salavage the situation or die? I think the choice is quite easy. Only way for Ukriane to win is for US to send toops and fight and it still will not go their way like in vietnam ...now is the time for negoration freeze current lines of contact before it get completely out of hand.

The USA can’t send enough to help “holding the lines” to happen. Money doesn’t help, only weapons help and we’re out of what they need with no way to make more anytime soon. Biden administration underestimated the need and should have gone on a war footing over a year ago.
