Israel is not going to respond militarily. They are going to social engineer and have the Iranian people do the job for them, hoping that this time the Mullahs can be ousted and Iran goes back to a pre-1979 secular government.
This is exactly what Obama stopped in 2009 with the Green Revolution. We wouldn’t be where we are today if Obama was for liberty and freedom.
Iran is a police state akin to Red China or North Korea, with the difference being that Iran is not Communist but radical Islamic. Israel and the West would be foolish to hope for a spontaneous uprising when dissenters are imprisoned or have left the country. Instead, Israel must take action so decisive that Iran will back down and not try to block the Straits of Hormuz. The only other action would be for Israel to back down. Half measures will fail and possibly widen the war.
