Katie Couric: Class Resentment, Anti-Intellectualism, and Anti-Elitism Is Driving Anti-Establishment Trump Voters
Real Clear Politics ^ | 04 15 2024 | Ian Schwartz

Katie Couric said resentfulness stemming from globalization is driving the anti-establishment Trump voter to the voting booth in an interview with Bill Maher on his podcast 'Club Random.'

"I think that is a huge problem that we have to address," Couric said. "Globalization and the transition from an industrial to a technological society. I don't know if you've ever been jealous of what someone else has or resentful. It is such a corroding and bitter, almost vile feeling. I think that when people who are really struggling see people who have everything and are on top of that looking down on them. It is just a recipe for such anger and resentment and grievance."

Katie Couric: “I’m an idiot, and completely unaware of it.”

Trump voters don’t resent class. That’s the Dims’ Marxist play.

Pseudo-intellectualism.

She forgets she’s dumb as a rock and slept her way to the top.

~~~
She isn’t.
The obnoxious part is that she doesn’t realize that “intellectualism” is an oxymoron. Most ‘intellectuals’ live in a bubble and other than a few academic fields in which they specialize, are just complete morons in the real world.
It’s too bad for the establishment that we’ve discovered they are evil, incompetent and stupid.
“you’ve ever been jealous of what someone else has or resentful”
Projection. Perky Katie confessed about her insecurity and jealousy in her book. She was always insecure about her intelligence as well. After she got old, the media dumped her like an old shoe.
She has always been a DNC-biased idiot and just an all around horrible partisan hack interviewer. I haven’t been able to watch her for decades now.
".. the transition from an industrial to a technological society."
An entire country composed of google engineers.
Who needs all those industrial products like automobiles, etc.
We do no have a “post-industrial” society no matter how much more “technology” we are using. Everything “technology” needs in terms of hardware is a product of industrial production, and a good part of the use of technology is in industrial production of everything else.
Anti-intellectualism? I’ll compare my IQ with Katie Couric’s any day. These people really have a delusional opinion of themselves.
Maybe the mention of Trump keeps ratings up but she is wrong if it is implying that Biden voters are more concerned with intellect.
