The 1864 law has an exception for the Life of the mother.

Kari wants the 15 week law to remain.

You are correct.

Full text of law

“A person who provides, supplies or administers to a pregnant woman, or procures such woman to take any medicine, drugs or substance, or uses or employs any instrument or other means whatever, with intent thereby to procure the miscarriage of such woman, unless it is necessary to save her life, shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not less than two years nor more than five years.”

The media spin has been “Arizona's draconian and absolute ban on abortion” .

I should have known better than to believe anything coming from the minsters of propaganda , especially for an issue like abortion and actually read was on it's face is a well drafted and comparatively reasonable piece of legislation.

That said, I'm totally in favor of anything Kari Lake feels she needs to do to position herself to beat Ruben Gallego, who is as radical as they come on abortion and many other issues, on the abortion issue.

Her position may be cynically calculated politics but moral purity on the issue is a losing battle in today's political arena even in once proud Arizona . If we do not win the Presidency and the Senate in 2024 we have lost our country and we will see things like women conceiving children to get paid to have them aborted and sold for fetal research or even child sacrifice.

This is not conjecture - both of these things are actually happening below the radar screen and the radical abortion activists are trying to mainstream things like the sale of aborted fetal tissue of even third trimester babies.
