Instead, 2 years later, Ukraine has managed to take back 50% of the land that Russia initially occupied. But they fled like rabbits - the Kremlin-people seem to slowly die in humiliation.<<<

Well, Ukraine did indeed retake about 50% of the land Russia had initially stolen in Ukraine. Even the Kremlin had to admit it.
I think I must remind you that Ukraine is 30 times smaller than Russia... so it was quite astonishing to see the Russians flee like panicking rabbits with Viking-Ukrainians running after them.
Ukraine was so successful that they pretended to be willing to retake Crimea as well soon thereafter... But that was just a ploy, a diversion. What they did instead was to destroy large parts of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which was totally unprepared. The trick/plan worked fantastically.
I think the time has come for a compromise with Russia though:
Russia must return to Ukraine: Crimea and Donbas, and anything else they have taken in Ukraine. Then they have to pay the war damages and sign a peace agreement stating that they will never bother any Western ally ever again.
To show its appreciation, the West would accept to not arrest Putin and Ukraine woould promise to not destroy further Russian refineries - saving Russia’s economy from imploding. We dont want Russia to implode again.
I think that would be a fair peace-deal.
Let’s end the deaths now.
