Its impossible to a be socialist with a gold-backed currency.

Government central planners and social-engineers MUST rely on debt, inflation and money-printing to fund their schemes. Control-freaks marxists are, they would NEVER want something so important for political power to be out of their control

Its why a return to a gold-backed currency is absolutely vital in the United States.

I still have two of the five crisp $100.000,000,000,000 Zimbabwe notes I bought. Gave two away to people I wanted to make rich and sold one.

Yeah, but sooner or later we'll be able to use our cold-fusion-powered 3D printers to crank out as much gold as we want.

We have one now, but it’s a private issue, and it’s not really currency.

181 Countries receive military and\or financial aid.
any country who joins BRICS should lose all U.S. aid.
Maybe something for Pres. Trump to consider...

That’s a great point. I also think we should switch to a sales based tax to motivate politicians to keep the economy humming.

Unless Zimbabwe is going to have an open exchange window where their currency can be openly traded in for gold bullion, then it isn’t going to be a gold backed currency.
