It's going to be more than okay, not so distant at all:
When Shiloh comes is the time of the gathering of the People (Gen 49.10).
The Hebrew word for gathering is uncommon. It is alternately translated as "obedience."
As a military man, you could surely see the natural relationship between gathering and obedience. Such as:
to muster, fall in. To be called to attention.
Other examples -- all hands on deck, quarters, general quarters. Alarms in the case of fire, or man overboard...
For the USS Arizona today, here we are. All hands on deck = Get-r-done.
One of the last of the Greatest Generation. We shall not look upon his like again.
Which state? Lots of “GRASS VALLEY” locations.
God Bless Him.
Thank you, Sir. RIP. We have the watch.
Very nicely done. Did your son go on to do something in media?
That is correct. Every year they have a diver or divers go down and place containers of ashes within the ship. The end of an era.
“Get-r-done” indeed!
California
Legend has it that the Arizona would stop leaking oil when the last of her survivors passed. From what I’ve heard, there is still plenty of oil in her, so that will probably not come to pass. But it is a touching thought.
RIP. A hero in my eyes. He just got on duty and saved almost 20 sailors then went back to look for survivors for 5 days.
