EXCLUSIVE: Sanctions on Moscow have hurt European economies while Russia’s has GROWN - and have only encouraged Putin to form stronger ties with China and be more aggressive towards the West
Daily Mail ^ | 4/31/2024 | David Averre

After US Pres. Joe Biden declared 'the rouble would be turned to rubble' by sanctions, the Russian economy looks more resilient with GDP growth hitting 3.6% in 2023 - outstripping every G7 country.

America and the EU slapped Russian entities with sanctions as early as 2014 after the annexation of Crimea to deter further Russian aggression, disrupt its nefarious activities and demonstrate the West's resolve....

...'Sanctions influenced Russia's behaviour enormously, but not in the direction of stated objectives by the sender states,' Dr. Kirkham said. 'Sanctions influenced Russia's behaviour enormously, but not in the direction of stated objectives by the sender states,' Dr. Kirkham said. 'If the objective was to deter Russia, then sanctions were distinctly counterproductive.

'Russia's isolation is a myth,' ..'Moscow has been forming strong alliances with BRICS partners and other states in the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, with the aim of creating a new global balance of power.

'The gaps in some segments like electronics and machinery have been successfully covered by Russia's partners that now not only replenish Russia's shortages in some key components but also share their expertise and knowledge to secure Russia's future self-sufficiency and domestic production.

It would be wrong erroneous to suggest that the ''Kalashnikov'' economy is dependent on the continuation of war.'

And the world now doesn’t want to rely on the US Dollar. That was a one time shot...and they blew it.

We're acting like gangsters. The world sees us as untrustworthy.

And, this from the Daily Mail, which has reported the most outrageous pro-Ukrainian propaganda through the war in Ukraine.

Even California, America’s most dysfunctional state, has a GDP that dwarfs Russia.

“Sanctions on Moscow have hurt European economies while Russia’s has GROWN - and have only encouraged Putin to form stronger ties with China .......”

This will be the Biden legacy, Russia and China teaming up to LEAD the world, while we celebrate Easter by calling it Tranny Day.

And to think, it ALL could have been prevented if we simply stated that Ukraine was a ‘European Problem’ (if even that). Now Russia has successfully DECOUPLED from the West and learned to do things on their own, and basically has UNLIMITED resources to supply to themselves and to China.

Glad I never fell for the Zeeper Kool-Aid, although I hear others did...

Euroweenies v the Ruskis.

Totalitarianism in different forms.

It’s a toss-up if I were forced to take sides.

But if the choice is between globalism and nationalism, I’ll always choose nationalism over one-worldism.

If those European economies are such powerhouses, why do they fear an invasion and takeover by their inferior rival, Russia? Russia does not need godless, stupid people within their realm who hate natural resources, modern transportation, farmers and cows. Who needs to rule a Europe of widespread ignorance longing for a return to the Dark Ages?

How smart is it to destroy an undersea natural gas pipeline bringing natural gas YOU desperately need? You are not “getting even” with Russia. You are just acting REALLY STUPID and destroying your own economies.

The classic phrase is “cutting off your nose to spite your face.”

Thanks for posting an 10 month old article about the state of the German economy.

Since your May 2023 CNN article was published, the German economy has shown slight growth, and while not great, Germany, with an economy that could buy all of Russia, and still have a GDP stronger than Russia, is not in a recession.

Some did try to warn the administration.....far back as Obama who pushed Putin toward China cooperation and other nations......I watched it happen. Putin went on a huge tour nation to nation, letting no grass grow under his feet, while Obama twiddled his thumbs playing Pres....until he attempted to make his “Pivot to Asia”

Athens was superior. Yet they ended up getting conquered by Sparta.

Just like WW2, it was Bolshevik vs Nazi vs Western Socialists. We should have let them kill each other till no more leftists slimed their way across the continent. In hindsight the isolationists were right.

Those European economies could buy Russia, sell it for pennies on the dollar, and still be wealthier than Russia is today.
