No - the prior law said the governor had to appointment from a choice of members of the same political party. Beshear has indicated he would not obey that law and appoint a Democrat if there was a vacancy claiming the law is not constitutional...if it is, I’m not sure how this one is, either...at least in the interim until the special election occurs.

That one and this law are constitutional IMO. But...the KY supreme court is far left and has a proven track record of aiding and abetting King Andy when he sidesteps the lawful process.

Louisville and Lexington are the armpit and ahole of KY. Hotbeds of corrupt lefties.
