It took me over a year but I was able to save all my mylar potato chip bags tape them all together and make a blanket that I put over my car in order to become a stealth vehicle.
Thank you for clarifying that.

But, I do agree with your skepticism that they are fishing for VINs.
I’d be happy with a printer that isn’t “smart.” Why would I want a printer with wireless?
Yet another reason why all my cars are older. My phone maybe tracking me, but I can deal with that. I don’t want my car recording my every move, where I go and how I get there.
I also like older cars because they don’t have as many useless and frustrating gimmicks. I don’t need everything to be integrated and interactive. I don’t want my car to tell me how to drive any more than I want it to tell other people how I drive.
They probably integrate it in such a way that you can’t do that without disabling the ignition system or some other critical component.
.
It has occurred to some of that the Government...
don't care what momma don't allow around here, they gonna do it anyhow.
I used to pull the fuel injection fuse on my Supra wherever i parked as a theft deterrent.
Under the hood and took only 20 seconds.
With my current Camry i don’t bother..
