Trump rents out the small amount of retail space, owns HIS 3 floor apartment, ( I do NOT know who owns the restaurant ), and the Trump organization ONLY manages the building! Ergo, for James and/or others imagining that THEY would "own" that building is patently ridiculous in the extreme! Also, such building are RUN BY BUILDING BOARDS, WHOSE MAKEUP CONSISTS OF SOME OF THE APARTMENT OWNERS; NOT Trump/the Trump family!

In the war between New York and Trump who is winning?
Perception being more important then reality I would say Trump is winning the PR portion the the war. New York is coming across as interfering with the 2024 election. Trump is the victim of overreaching government officials.
My take on all this is that they (New York) know the case against Trump is weak (no crime, no victim and using a law that has never been used before to after one man) and is sure to be tossed on appeal, which is why the Judge wanted him to put up the whole amount before he could appeal the ruling, they did not want him to be able to appeal the ruling.
The bottom line, Trump is getting millions of dollars in free air time and print keeping him in the news, something he would have had to pay for.
New York on the other hand is faced with the trucker revolt and other businesses deciding if it is worth doing business in New York. The productive people (and tax base) are leaving New York so they are losing.
Maybe Orange Man with donate some sawbucks to Baltimore to hire more policemen, if there any idiots left that would take the job.
