These are some historical facts about Palestine that people should know before forming opinions.
Some 30,000 people killed in this most recent conflict in the Middle East, mostly Palestinian civilians, are figures given to us by the Palestinian Health Ministry here near the end of March, 2024.
Propaganda anyone? How do we fact check that? Do those figures include the 1,163 women and children raped, tortured and slaughtered in one day by Hamas "soldiers" on October 7, 2023?
I remember how we did body counts in the jungles of Vietnam. We knew how many American kids were killed, but it was anybody's guess about how many Viet Cong or North Vietnamese civilians were killed.
The two conflicts started by Israel were done to force Egypt to open up the Straits of Tiran and the Suez Canal that Egypt had closed to Israeli shipping. Israel depended on that shipping for food, medicine, household goods, etc. The other six conflicts were started by the surrounding Arab nations.
From the numbers that I've been able to gather in my research, numbers that I can't verify are correct but looked to be objectively reasonable;
(Excerpt) Read more at americanthinker.com ...
The Darfur region of Sudan in 2003 with 400,000 dead.
Rwandan 1994 with 800,000 dead.
Bosnia 1992 - 200,000 dead.
China 1958-1964 "The Great Leap Forward" where 27,000,000 were starved to death during the "leap forward."
The Holocaust, Europe, 1939-1945, 7,000,000.
To me, the numbers we are talking about very loudly tell me that the term "genocide" does not apply to this war. If you are a real journalist reporting on this area stop demeaning the definition by using that term. And shame on anyone else using the term in their arguments and propaganda.
The Palestinian Health Ministry has no corroborating data to support their numbers. Everyone knows their data is pure BS, but no one seems to know by how much. The hope by them is that the numbers will sway public opinion, which will cause politicians to get involved.
Suggestion: Since the US started letting politicians set the Rules of Engagement during the Korean conflict, the US has not won a war. We have experts who can properly run a war...let them run it. People like Schumer and his mouth are killing people on both sides. A fast, short, war saves lives on both sides. The politicians need to sit down and STFU.
Excellent article. It’s good to have the facts. Thank you for posting.
If Israel were intent on “Genocide”, why didn’t they bomb the hundreds of thousands of civilians headed South through the humanitarian corridors the Israeli Defense Forces established?
Riddle me this, Batman.
This explains why it seems like we (the US) fight with only slightly more resources than the enemy has. And who is making that [stupid!!!!!] decision.
ham ass’s 30,000 figure includes:
* all ham ass terrorists (about 13,000, according to the IDF),
* gazan civilians killed by misfired ham ass rockets (see al-Ahli hospital),
* gazan civilians gunned down by ham ass for resisting being human shields (al-Nasr Pediatric Hospital),
* gazans killed because ham ass refuses to segregate its fighters from civilians as required by the Geneva Conventions,
* gazans killed as collateral damage in a war ham ass started, but at a lower rate than any war in history, because of Israel’s unprecedented efforts to spare civilians (leaflets, robocalls, direct phone calls, declarations in advance of areas of operation, etc.)
And so on.
This war is ham ass’s fault, and ALL the casualties are their fault.
Using the numbers provided by the Muslims makes about as much sense as going ice fishing in July.
You're right but for genocide to take place I think intent is more important than the raw number of dead. The examples you site were genocide because civilians were deliberately killed just to get rid of them, not just because the numbers were so great.
I'm sure Israel has killed "civilian" Palestinians in this war, but their intent is to wipe Hamas terrorists "soldiers" off the face of the earth. But Hamas uses civilian Palestinians as human shields and won't let them escape to safety.
From the article: There have been no documented instances of Palestinian [or Israeli, to clarify] Christians and Jews strapping bombs on their women and children and sending them into highly populated areas to blow themselves up just to take a couple of Palestinians with them.
Since 1994 114 suicide bombers (the youngest being 7 years old), have killed 721 and wounded 5,100 people in Israel alone. One in seven bombers were children. 95% of the dead were Israelis.

And people wonder why Israel has those walls and checkpoints...
It was Hamas itself who was killing civilians trying to flee the bombing by Israel. Israel told them which way to flee, and Hamas said, "No, you don't!"
Documenting your point:
“The Israel Defense Forces releases an audio recording of an officer in the Military Intelligence Directorate’s Unit 504 — which specializes in HUMINT — speaking to a Gazan man, during which he describes how Hamas is preventing people from evacuating from the northern part of the Gaza Strip and even shooting at them.”
Divide the bogus 30,000 number in half, then subtract out the terrorists
= about 2000 Palestinian civilians killed
Hardly a genocide!
Agreed. If Israel was attempting genocide in Gaza, there’d be at least 400k dead Gazans by now.
