Mayorkas on Biden Acting on Border to Save Resources: We Need Resources and It’ll End up in Court
Breitbart ^ | 03/15/2024 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 03/16/2024 9:55:08 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas responded to questions on whether President Joe Biden will take executive action on the border to combat the surge at the border that is taking up resources by saying that “Executive actions in the past have been challenged in the court[s], and executive actions without the accompanying resources will not meet the moment.” And “We are always considering what we as an administration can do in the shadow of Congress’ failure to act, but we continue to believe that Congress must and can act. We must have them deliver the solution, rather than live with the problem.”

Lying scoundrel. The “surge” at the border didn’t start the other day. This corruptocrat has been asked about this problem for the last few years, and he sits there with a smug smirk and telling congress that everything is fine.

This is the Plan and the more we can get over the better. Did you get cartel permission to ask these lame questions?”

The Mariel Boatlift is certainly something he knows about.

The best and fastest way to save money on the immigration issue is to STOP IT. They're handing out free cellphones, $5000 debit cards, free airfares and bus fares, ankle monitors, paying ridiculous sums to NGOs, and-and-and.

Shut it down, and all that reverts to the treasury.

Maybe give the ‘resources’ to Texas.

“Governor Greg Abbott, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), and the Texas National Guard are continuing to work together to secure the border; stop the smuggling of drugs, weapons, and people into Texas; and prevent, detect, and interdict transnational criminal activity between ports of entry.

“Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to over 470,100 illegal immigrant apprehensions and more than 34,600 criminal arrests, with more than 31,600 felony charges reported. In the fight against fentanyl, Texas law enforcement has seized over 431 million lethal doses of fentanyl during this border mission.”

The House can vote funding for new potential judges that Governor Abbott nominates that Biden can renominate and send to the Senate for confirmation.

“fastest way”

It takes a year to get out from under the Refugee Convention.

Article 23 - Public relief

The Contracting States shall accord to refugees lawfully staying in their territory the same treatment with respect to public relief and assistance as is accorded to their nationals.

Article 17 - Wage-earning employment
....
2. In any case, restrictive measures imposed on aliens or the employment of aliens for the protection of the national labour market shall not be applied to a refugee...who fulfils one of the following conditions:
(a) He has completed three years’ residence in the country;
....
(c) He has one or more children possessing the nationality of the country of residence.

Article 34 - Naturalization [and getting the right to vote (and buy AR-15s)]

The Contracting States shall as far as possible facilitate the assimilation and naturalization of refugees. They shall in particular make every effort to expedite naturalization proceedings and to reduce as far as possible the charges and costs of such proceedings.

Article 44 - Denunciation [getting out from under the Refugee Convention]
1. Any Contracting State may denounce this Convention at any time by a notification addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
2. Such denunciation shall take effect for the Contracting State concerned one year from the date upon which it is received by the Secretary-General of the United Nations....

I believe Trump could have sent the Secretary General a letter in January 2021 getting the US out from under the Refugee Convention.

Executive actions in the past have been challenged in the court[s].

Courts don’t exist under this administration only inquisitions do.

I would think that UNlawful "refugees" would not meet the criteria.

My family's church took in two Hungarian families after 1956. They weren't allowed to enter the USA without a sponsor who would guarantee that the would not "become a public charge". How times have changed.

Warning label on every plan and product of the left:

     "We Don’t Bear Responsibility"

- DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Feb. 11, 2024

What Trump Has Already Won - November 3, 2020, Townhall article by Larry O'Connor

The enforcement of our immigration laws (not new laws, just the robust enforcement of the laws passed by Congress and previous administrations) has been an incredible reward for Americans who respect the rule of law.

Newcomerstown, Ohio

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newcomerstown,_Ohio

The name comes from a Lenape (Delaware) village established in the 1760s by Netawatwees - aka King Newcomer, or simply Newcomer - a principal chief and spiritual leader of the Delaware (c. 1686-1776).

Newcomer migrated to the area from Cuyahoga Falls with his band of Lenape Indians.

The Lenape name of the town was Gekelukpechink, meaning "still water." The town was used as a meeting place for the Iroquois Great Council, and English and American traders called it Newcomer's town.

By 1771, more than one hundred dwellings had been built. In 1776, more than seven hundred Lenape and several traders lived in the town.

Soon after the start of the American Revolutionary War, the Lenape moved west to Coshocton.

So, for the record, Joe Biden has "appropriated an indigenous native American name", a tribal name, and a town name.

Joe Biden is in violation of Democrat Tribal Law.

Sure Jan, that’s why Biden led with Ukraine at the SOTU speech. You’ll do nothing even when ordered or funded.

I wish the RNC, now that they seem to have better leadership, will put out an Ad of Mayorkas sitting smiling smugly in front of Congress when being questioned about the open borders, then show the headlines of the crimes like what happened to Laken Riley.

Mayorkas should be the poster boy for the ads on the border issue. It is frustrating that the RNC does nothing.

2/11/2021:The White House released a letter Thursday from Biden to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi notifying Congress that he had rescinded his predecessor’s February 2019 proclamation. It was a formality since Biden ordered a halt to border wall construction shortly after he took office. In his letter, the president said Trump’s declaration of a national emergency had been “unwarranted” and that he had directed that “no more American taxpayer dollars be diverted to construct a border wall.” He also ordered a review of all money spent on the project so far.

RNC doesn’t have the money (nor any conservative or MAGA PACs) There is so much material to blanket the airwaves that should start now through election day. Highlighting all of the times Biden issued orders to weaken border security should also be another series of ads, also highlighting the false claims now and bluntly pointing out these claims are lies. Multiple one minute ads of uncut, unedited clips of Biden saying bizarre things like the hairy legs speech should also be run - no music, no commentary - just Biden in his own words unedited.

The Democrats have already began their assault and are flush with cash to run a sustained ad campaign from now until election day. And marketing and messaging working and is effective...and they will be the only message being heard until and unless the base doesn’t stop sitting on their behinds and keeping their wallets closed. Can’t blame it on the establishment - they aren’t contributing to the so-called MAGA candidates or even Trump himself to the magnitude the Dem base shells out the cash for their candidates...plus their traditional donor class and most of the media in their back pocket.
