Jill and I are heartbroken by the recent loss of Nex Benedict. Every young person deserves to have the fundamental right and freedom to be who they are, and feel safe and supported at school and in their communities. Nex Benedict, a kid who just wanted to be accepted, should still be here with us today.
Nonbinary and transgender people are some of the bravest Americans I know. But nobody should have to be brave just to be themselves. In memory of Nex, we must all recommit to our work to end discrimination and address the suicide crisis impacting too many nonbinary and transgender children. Bullying is hurtful and cruel, and no one should face the bullying that Nex did. Parents and schools must take reports of bullying seriously. My prayers are with Nex’s family, friends, and all who loved them – and to all LGBTQI+ Americans for whom this tragedy feels so personal, know this: I will always have your back.

If there is anyone to blame in addition to the person who ingested enough drugs to kill itself, is this person’s parents, friends and “supporters” who encouraged and cultivated this person’s mental illness and the dealers who profited by supplying the drugs this person used to kill itself. That’s what set this off. Unless you go back further to the whole promotion of transgender insanity to kids.
SOMEONE put these ideas in this girl’s head that “gender” is something you pick for yourself and have the right to demand everyone else agree to.
For modesty, fairness, and safety society distinguishes between BIOLOGICAL SEXES. If “gender” is the equivalent to and interchangeable with biological sex, fine. If not, we don’t need to know anyone’s gender expression. Keep it to yourself.
But make no mistake, the death of this girl is 100% the result of the ideology of the left.
Her own grandmother/guardian who called 911 for her, used “her” and “she” pronouns in the call. The left will call for people to be fired, deplatformed, banned, demonetized, and even killed for the supposed crime of “misgendering” even while the closest family member of this girl who loved and supported her couldn’t get it straight.
Maybe Joe should talk about how people, in general, have become A-holes to each other. Bullying happens every day, all around him. And he could do something about it. He could call out the people making attacks. He could stop making them himself.
It’s not a bad message. But we do not have leaders today who are interested in civil discourse. So, the weak will continue to fall by the side of the road because the bullies need to feel good about themselves.

Probably not, this trans stuff is a manifestation of mental illness and depression that is illegal to treat as a mental illness issue because celebrities and activists decided to use these poor people as a wedge issue.. So society lets them have their delusions, celebrates their mutilations, then chooses not to notice when their untreated mental illness leads them to suicide.
