Let them help themselves to all the stuff Biden abandoned in Afghanistan.

I could tell he was going to cave like a loser at Biden’t SOTU. If Johnson think we believe Ukraine is going to pay us back, he is more stupid than he looks like. And what about the border Mike? The ball was in the RAT court to deliver on their part of the deal and now you give away leverage like a pathetic coward.

I really wanted to like this guy but I think he is a weak sister.

How about they build a wall, deport the criminal aliens, and then we’ll talk.

It’s not like normal people don’t recognize Putin’s aggression for what it is. But there are basic problems to be taken care of in the USA first.

Millions of organizations decide on a daily basis NOT to give or lease things to other organizations about to go out of business. Nothing more than epidemic delusion.

“Johnson told senators that the House will send a Ukraine aid package to the Senate but floated the idea of making it a loan or lend-lease program so U.S. taxpayers would not be shelling out tens of billions of dollars without any expectation of getting a return, according to senators who participated in the discussion.

The Speaker also talked about including something similar to the REPO for Ukrainians Act, sponsored by Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), which would authorize the confiscation of Russian sovereign assets and deposit the proceeds of liquidated property into a Ukraine support fund, senators said.”

So it’s just a “loan” that Ukraine will pay us back some day? And we are going to confiscate Russia currency and gold on deposit in American banks and gave it to Ukraine.
Every nation on earth will see that and get their cash and gold out of American banks.

DC sucks and hates America.

Just imagine if they put half as much care and concern for Americans needs as they did Ukraine or Taiwan.

Ukraine would never be able to pay the money back.

Another penny to Ukraine and Johnson should be forced out as Speaker.

I don't give a tinker's damn about Ukraine, one way or the other. Not our problem. No more Biden bucks for the oligarchs.

When Zelensky sells his Swiss real estate, and sells his multi-million dollar luxury yachts and his wife's Parisian jewels and furs …

The best way to achieve peace in Ukraine is to give it the Carthage treatment.

Actually a good idea.

The Biden Admin has totally screwed the pooch in Ukraine and he may have sealed it's doom. How's that Putin Price Hike wag the dog proxy war scheme going for you now, JoJo?

Not so well, it seems.

Short of direct NATO intervention, Ukraine has irretrievably lost the war. There is no dispute on that one.

The only question now is how badly is the Ukraine going to lose, is the Ukraine going to collapse and be over run by Russia or is a negotiated settlement possible and what are the terms of settlement.

Biden has left Ukraine defeated, exhausted and with little leverage left to negotiate a decent deal. I didn't have to be this way but the bad faith of Biden and NATO has brought us to the point.

If the US can provide the Ukraine with carefully controlled and targeted aid to give Ukraine enough leverage to obtain an honorable end to the war ASAP that would be a great thing.

But aid should be 100% contingent upon an immediate fast track in diplomatic actions to end the conflict on decent terms for Ukraine while we still can. Unfortunately, that will not happen because Biden and NATO fueled this war and they do not want to have to explain in an election year how Ukraine settles on much worse terms than the Ukraine could have settled a few weeks into conflict before Biden and Boris interjected themselves and torpedoed a negotiated settlement. And all after a casualty rate approaching one million, untold suffering and destruction and hundreds of billions of dollars pounded down the rat hole of losing cause in a senseless war.

We have on last chance to get things right and hopefully Speaker Johnson can be the statesman and voice of sanity in the room to get things on track.

Will it happen? Don't hold your breath.

Thanks again for referencing these articles.

"The Hill’s Alexander Bolton reported on the conversations that occurred at the Library of Congress during the annual Republican Senate retreat and emphasized the speaker “cautioned that what comes out of the House [emphasis added] will look substantially different than the $95 billion foreign aid package the Senate passed last month.”"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Given that Justice Joseph Story had noted that peacetime foreign aid is unconstitutional, what comes out of the House for the post-17th Amendment ratification Senate needs to include a resolution for proposing a new amendment to the Constitution to the states that, if the states choose to ratify it, will give Congress the specific power to tax and spend for peacetime foreign aid in the first place.

If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).

That being said, patriots need to IMMEDIATELY primary ALL state and federal Trump-hating celebrity incumbent lawmakers and executives up for reelection this year, except for MTG, Gaetz & Company (and others?).

Beloved but worthless celebrity incumbents need to be replaced with Trump-supporting patriot lawmakers in November so that hopeful Trump 47 will not be a lame duck president from the first day of his second term in office, but will be supported by the new Congress to finish draining the swamp.

Oh, this is from Breitbart and not The Bee!

From the article: “Johnson told senators that the House will send a Ukraine aid package to the Senate but floated the idea of making it a loan or lend-lease program so U.S. taxpayers would not be shelling out tens of billions of dollars without any expectation of getting a return, according to senators who participated in the discussion.”

So if they don’t return the arms we loan them and pay the lease what do we do? Invade them and take some land as payment?
