Actually probably not.
It was Ukraine, which restrained itself from attack on Russian territory in the beginning of the war. Russians have the tendency to rally around the leader when attacked, so attack on Russia could backfire.
But now, Ukraine realized the Russians are thoroughly fed up with this enterprise, so attack on Russian soil will not get them excited to support Putin anymore!
