Pro-Ukrainian militias claim they have crossed into Russian border regions and launched attacks, while Russia insists it beat back the raids, staged three days before it holds a presidential election.

Groups of Ukraine-based militias, made up of pro-Kyiv Russian volunteer fighters who oppose Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, reported on Tuesday that they had entered the Kursk and Belgorod regions, their alleged attacks launched amid Ukraine’s largest drone and missile offensive since Ukraine invaded Russia in February 2022. The recent Ukrainian offensive set two oil refineries in Russia ablaze.

I suspect one objective is to force the Russians to move protective forces into these areas thus depriving the front lines from men and material. Also, the logistics burden of the newly moved forces will greatly complicate the Russian resupply efforts.

Something I’ve been expecting is the Russians setting off a couple of nukes in their old testing grounds in Siberia and this would likely scare off several NATO suppliers. The issue from the Russian standpoint is, are these weapons as maintained as the records suggest? If someone pocketed the money but didn’t do the maintenance and upkeep then a move like this would be embarrassing, to say the least. The weapons would probably still go boom, but depending on what was not maintained, the boom might not be as big as planned. The more modern the weapon the less reserve capacity it has. This is due to several factors, keeping down the residual radiation, optimizing the material used, etc.

When the Russian invasion started there were several mysterious fires at fuel depots. Since the Ukrainians were otherwise occupied at the time, it’s probable these fires were intended to cover up the theft of the fuel that was supposed to be there. The reason the Russian aircraft carrier was so long in the repair yards is the drydock started flooding. The diesel pumps that were supposed to save it had not been fueled as the head of the repair facility had sold all the diesel fuel. He went to prison.

Maybe a lot of Russian people just hate Putin’s guts

No need for the CIA to get involved!

They already have ways. Walk or drive around anywhere in the US with your mind set to “imaginative terrorist” mode. A state supported team could do anything you can imagine.

Ukraine seeking PEACE!

It seems that #Ukraine is on the verge of diplomatic negotiations with #Russia. If this path is taken, it will be the defeat of 50 Western nations.— Elijah J. Magnier 🇪🇺 (@ejmalrai) March 12, 2024

The Russians have been marshaling large forces in the border areas near Kharkiv for the anticipated move to retake that city. The men and material are already there. My first thought was an intelligence gathering operation of some sort. Your thoughts about the Russians setting off a couple of warning nukes is just plain silly.

That silly suggestion is not mine. Although I couldn’t find the exact Medvedev quote, I did find this article on the subject. The quote from a speech made by the former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev.

Domestic terrorism isn’t war, not to mention the effort failed. I hope Russia doesn’t act in kind to the NATO state actors who are supplying what remains of the UA with weapons.

“Domestic terrorism isn’t war, not to mention the effort failed.”

Ukraine is an independent nation that was invaded by Russian military forces. This would count as a special operations mission.

Ukraine is an American vassal state fully propped up by your tax dollars. The war began long before 2/24/22, and you'd be wise to do some research before poking around looking foolish.
