Rust trial: Video shows Baldwin use gun as 'pointing stick' Actor Alec Baldwin waved a gun around on the film set where a cinematographer was fatally shot, a court has heard.
In footage shown at the trial of the film's armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, Mr Baldwin is also seen telling her to reload the gun more quickly.
She denies involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence.
Mr Baldwin was holding the gun when it went off but has said he didn't pull the trigger. He has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

It wasn’t just that there was a live round...he pointed the gun at her....and from the clip...he did it all the time...
I think Baldwin was behind all of this. I think he’s a mentally deranged psychopath and for whatever reason, he put a live round in the gun maybe to scare the victim or play victim himself or maybe he just wanted to kill her. Look at his reaction when the cops told him the victim died.

Bottom line. None of them are serious people and they should not have been near a gun.
if any one of us “regler folk” had done this we’d already be buried under the jailhouse.
He is such a freakin ayhole that guy, I cannot stand him. I actually got into an altercation with him around 14 years ago. I was driving down Central park West and came to a stop light and this guy pulled alongside me on a bike wearing a bike helmet and he banged on my hood telling me to watch where I was going, and I got out and was about to get it on and saw it was Mr. Dickhead himself. I yelled at him that I got nowhere near him, I saw him and gave him plenty of space but I suppose like everything else Alec thinks it’s his world.
Baldwin pointed the gun at the victim and pulled the trigger. Guns dont mysteriously fire themselves.
He’s not even the director and look at this blowhard yelling out orders, what a schmuck.
Hard to believe there were any live rounds anywhere near the set.
Thinking Baldwin brought the ammo in and slipped it in the gun somehow.
Not an accident in my view.
This thread has drawn a high percentage of retarded replies.
This case is over, and Baldwin’s case is in July.
Well, he is Alec Baldwin after all. Plus he was a co-Executive Producer of Rust.
Even more so now....
The irony is....RUST is about someone who accidently kills someone and is being pursued.
Sound familiar??
He pulled back the hammer to cock the single action revolver.
The armorer's trial is over. Baldwin's due in July.
One hasn’t followed this situation closely but it sounds as though there was plenty of culpability, and cocaine, to go around...
Add in “incompetence” and I’m with you.
Good point. Even less chance then that this was a simple accident.
I’ve thought this possibility. Hannah Reed’s father, Thell Reed was a long time firearms advisor/armorer in Hollywood also. It is highly suspect that Hannah made a mistake. There is a LOT of difference between a blank round and a live round..
Correct. I have a 44 magnum Super Blackhawk single action.
It has a safety built in so the firing pin won’t strike if the hammer is in the “down” position. All modern revolvers, single- or double-action, have the same safety feature. None of my revolvers has ever fired a round without use of the trigger
