So now he equates the death of his son Beau, who succumbed to cancer, not war in the Middle East, with being murdered by an illegal/‘undocumented newcomer’?.
And, apparently it was more than just Beau that he lost. He said he’s lost CHILDREN.

"Attacking his opponent directly in the first minutes of his speech is unprecedented and perhaps the most partisan start to a State of the Union address in modern memory,"It wasn't THAT bad.
After all, Joe waited until his THIRD sentence to bring up HITLER!
Good evening.
Mr. Speaker. Madam Vice President. Members of Congress. My Fellow Americans.
1. In January 1941, President Franklin Roosevelt came to this chamber to speak to the nation.
2. He said, “I address you at a moment unprecedented in the history of the Union.”
3. Hitler was on the march. War was raging in Europe.
4. President Roosevelt’s purpose was to wake up the Congress and alert the American people that this was no ordinary moment.
5. Freedom and democracy were under assault in the world.
6. Tonight I come to the same chamber to address the nation.

"Does anyone remember a State of the Union speech so nakedly partisan as this one?" Georgetown Law Professor Randy Barnett posted on X. Well, yes, I do.
But it happened BEHIND the President.

He never blinked.
I told my wife....”Compare his eye blinks to Harris and Johnson sitting behind him”. They had a normal rhythm of blinks. FJB didn’t.

I watched it for about 10 minutes. I just can’t sit still and listen to a continuous stream of lies. Just can’t do it.

Too much anger and screaming. Is this type of speech a way to win an election? He didn’t sound humble and kind. It was shout, shout, let it all out.....His song could be titled “Rage against Republicans.”

It truly was the weirdest, angriest SOTU speech I’ve ever seen... Well, in Joe's defense, he DID have the mannerisms of a certain fella mentioned in line #3 of his speech last night, down pat!

At his next press event, which could be months from now, and when he’s off his meds and back to his bumbling, mumbling self I’d like to see someone ask him why he seemed to have so much energy at the SOTU and yet can’t put two sentences together for a simple press conference. Hmm. Peculiar.

He also addressed the Supremes as Obama once did. Very disrespectful.

You can count me on that
He stumbled far less than usual
Yes it was a political rant
Yes he was angry
Yes he delivered punchy
But he did deliver compared to his usual feebleness
No question of that
I’m curious how they did it honestly
