Philippines is getting very Americanized, unfortunately with Black American culture more than White. If you have some money, and can live without small talk, there are better options.

Lots of US citizens in the Philippines.

Most Americans that I know who live in the Philippines are returning Filipinos or those with Filipino spouses, who can help with things like cooking, cleaning, medical care etc...it can be lonely if you have no family here.

But there are areas that encourage US citizens and retirees to settle and have shops etc that cater to expats who don't have families here.

I plan on going back full time the summer of 2025 regardless of who wins the election I can get VA care in Manila and have always liked that part of the world since Uncle Sam sent me for my summer trip...

Has nothing to do with the election been going there for decades just finally getting old enough to settle down..
