The situation in Maine seems to be bad.
There is a local website, The Maine Wire, that conducts OUTSTANDING investigative journalism. I learned about them with the shooting last year.
They have been ALL OVER this story. Indeed, my suspicion is they did SO MUCH uncovering that the authorities HAD to act.
