“....better buy some ultrasound equipment....”

That’s what a quick Google search said, but without the data that you supplied.

Thanks.

Wow I always thought gold was the heaviest metal.

Right you are, Paladin. The density of tungsten is very close to the density of gold. So a tungsten bar covered with a thin veneer of gold would pass the Archimedes test for gold.

As a side note, there was a Chinese company selling such tungsten bars as a “novelty item” a few years back.

I don’t know if they’re still in business. But the “novelty item” thing was just a cover. They were selling their bars so that the buyers could later commit fraud.

“Speed of sound is about 50% different. Tungsten 5220 m/s and gold 3240 m/s. Anyone who owns a lot of gold or buys and sells it better buy some ultrasound equipment.”
Yep, metals can also be sorted from one another by using Eddy Current Non Destructive Inspection technology.

Without a doubt. If the Ukrainian gold has been transferred to any Western Bank vaults, then - bye bye.

I think that there will be a wave of currency instability, internationally. Thus, the desire to have gold holdings.

one possible reason for the recent uptick is that FRBNY has taken custody of the gold from Ukraine’s central bank.

Nice move. These losers are literally giving us everything.

W is too close in density.

I believe you are correct, testing equipment required is very high tech and very hard to use for absolute certainty.

Certainty would require destructive methods.

Lets see...
R. Nixon gave us:

Each and every one of these has failed their stated intent and/or has enabled the first elements of Sovietization within the federal government...

So Nixon belongs in the list of presidential traitors to the principles under which the Founding Fathers established the Republic...

W. Wilson
F. Roosevelt
L. Johnson
R. Nixon
J. Carter
W. Clinton
G.W. Bush
B. Obama

...and some 68% of the banks surveyed said they are keeping their gold reserve within their country’s borders
Imagine that, countries wanting to keep their own gold! Just another reason to start a war.

\/

i bought some generic oz. rounds of silver a few years back , that when i went to sell some of them, the coin shop checked them with one of those strong magnets and one of them turned out to not be solid silver , just silver plated.

lots of fraud out there.
