Antony Blinken Accuses Israel of Trying to ‘Dehumanize’ Palestinians - Followup

JERUSALEM, Israel — U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken made the shocking accusation late Wednesday night during a press briefing in Israel’s capital that Israel is “dehumaniz[ing]” Palestinians in Gaza because of the humanitarian toll of the war in Gaza.

“Israelis were dehumanized in the most horrific way on October 7th,” Blinken said. “The hostages have been demonized every day since. But that cannot be a license to dehumanize others.” He did not provide any evidence that Israel has been “dehumanizing” Palestinians, but simply seemed to suggest that the suffering of Palestinian civilians who “had nothing to do with the attacks of October 7th” was a form of dehumanization. “We cannot, we must not, lose sight of our common humanity,” Blinken declared.

The accusation — which resonates with claims made by Israel’s critics and enemies, including at the International Court of Justice at The Hague — was part of Blinken’s prepared text; it was not a gaffe or an off-the-cuff remarks made in the heat of the moment.

This is a followup to post 50 of https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4215941/posts where Secretary of State Blinken's comments were discussed.

-----------------------------------------------

ON DEHUMANIZATION

In early February US Secretary of State Blinken was quoted by Breitbart as making the following statement.

“Israelis were dehumanized in the most horrific way on October 7th,” Blinken said. “The hostages have been demonized every day since. But that cannot be a license to dehumanize others.”

There is a video clip of a statement by Mr. Blinken where he does actually say "dehumanize" instead of "demonize", so we may consider the difficulties of the statement with a second use of the word "dehumanize". All the criticisms will naturally apply to the version reported by Breitbart.

Firstly, to use the word "dehumanize" is to attempt a false equivalence. The difference is between intention on the one hand and unintentional collateral damage on the other. The Hamas terrorists intentionally machine gunned people at the rave and at kibbutzim. They intentionally raped girls and shot them dead while committing the rapes. The terrorists intentionally kidnapped some babies and burnt others to death.

The casualties of non-combatants in Gaza are unintentional, and due to Hamas hiding among that population. It is unfortunate collateral damage due to war instigated by Hamas. This is a war crime that is the clear responsibility of Hamas, and it is shocking that the international community is doing so little to bring public attention to this issue.

In Blinken's video statements, he is forced to acknowledge that Israel has taken many steps to reduce casualties among non-combatants. We can add some specifics to support Blinken's point. The Israelis asked people to move from northern Gaza to get away from the fighting. They often gave preliminary warnings before they hit buildings housing terrorists so that non-combatants can escape. They have reduced the ratio of non-combatant casualties to combatant casualties to less than other militaries in an active war zone. Perhaps we should look more closely at the US bombing of Serbia in the 1990's, for example.

The problem appears that those backing Hamas feel they are too special to have to suffer the consequences of their own mass murder, rapine, brutality and violence.

---------------

To understand the continued dehumanization committed by Hamas against not only the hostages but against all Israelis, and indeed all decent peoples on Earth, we should look at some of the outrageous behavior of Hamas in the victimization of the Israeli hostages after the Massacre of October 7th. A notable example is the video that was released in the middle of January by Hamas threatening the lives of three hostages. The organization "Stop Antisemitism" described it this way.

" In a stomach churning video reminiscent of a "Jigsaw" movie, Hamas releases footage of Noa Argamani announcing her fellow hostages Yossi Sharabi and Itay Svirsky were killed.

This follows a guessing game video Hamas released yesterday asking viewers to "guess" which of the three were still alive."

We soon found out that the young lady, Noa Argamani, was the one who survived, while it is almost certain that Hamas itself murdered at least one of the other two hostages. According to Blinken, this gross abuse of all three hostages is not an insult to their families and the entire State and people of Israel. Further the death of two of the hostages is not dehumanization. But turning people into corpses by intentional execution is dehumanization in its most pathetic form. It appears Secy of State Blinken and members of the international community think otherwise.

------------------------------

Another act of gross dehumanization committed by Hamas is not only an insult to some of the hostages, but is an insult to the Geneva Convention, the Laws of War and all decent people in the international community. We see that Hamas has sold some of the hostages to Muslim warlords thousands of kilometers away from Gaza.

Apparently selling prisoners of war as slaves is within the bounds of humanitarian civility and not a gross insult to the Geneva Convention and whatever decency remains in the international community according to US Secretary of State Blinken. He thinks it is only an insult to the hostages personally involved.

----------------------------------

Finally it should be noted that some videos have come out from Hamas which show the hostages being raped in Gaza. One of the videos has arabic chanting in the background. The violence occurs in various locations but many appear to have happened in domestic living quarters. Some of these videos came out only in January but a few were available by the end of December. The videos includes the flag of Israel shown on the victim to make the intentions clear. This is dehumanizing the hostage, her family and the entirety of State and people of Israel.

In one of the videos a Jewish star is used instead of the flag of Israel, and the caption says "It isn't rape if she a Jewish". This is dehumanizing the entirety of the religion, followers and sympathizers alike.

Some screenshots from the videos are listed below. One of the hostages might be the young lady photographed in a Hamas holding cell on October 7 (e).

Hamas has continued its brutal dehumanization of the hostages, their families and the Jewish people in a manner of the utmost brutality. It is clear that Hamas is continuing the rape/genocide it started with the October 7th massacre. For the US Secretary of State and international community to attempt to sidestep these outrages by presenting the issue of "dehumanization" in an obscuring fashion means that significant portions of the international community are acting in malicious bad faith. Those nations and peoples who are concerned about the imperialism emanating from the Middle East, of which Hamas is a part, may need to consider how to protect their interests, citizens, residents and visitors.

To not know anything about God and the plans set out from God.. To not realize this is God’s world and God’s America and God’s Israel..
Is to say and do what the Biden administration has done and said.. Oblivious to a Power higher than their own bloated demands.

The IDF is giving Hamas exactly what they deserve. Collateral damage is not their fault, and can be avoided if Egypt opens up their border crossing.

There are people groups in the world who dehumanize themselves and never dream of rising out of it. The Arabs known as Palestinians is one of them.

Egypt doesn't care to open the border crossing because they know what they would be getting.

The Gearing's had cute children. They poisoned them anyway because they couldn't bear the thought of them living under a system without national socialism.

The deaths of their children were not because the Allies were pursing the war too aggressively but because the parents were stupid.

Same thing in Gaza.

Here is a followup to the "dehumanization" claim of Secretary of State Blinken. He spoke in early February.

“I didn’t see anyone do that.”

I didn’t know you were there, Mohammed.

Doesn’t surprise me, given every other post you make is thinnly-disguised antisemitism.

Now go f a goat, like your daddy did.

Rep Jim Clyburn (Democrat - SC), is co-chair of Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign.

During Sunday’s broadcast of CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) voiced his disapproval of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s leadership.
Clyburn, a confidant of President Joe Biden, argued Netanyahu’s leadership had been “bad for Israel.”
However, he would not go as far as to say Biden agreed with him about Netanyahu.

“When it comes to Israel, should Biden stick with his position on Prime Minister Netanyahu or perhaps rethink that relationship?” Face the Nation host Robert Costa asked.

We should also understand the legal basis for rape in the Islamic Law.

One reason for the international community to avoid the issue of Hamas rape is that it is actually Islamic Law to rape captured women. Here is Ali Sina with a quote from the Hadith of Bukhari.

From Ali Sina’s book “Understanding Muhammad”.

p. 39 Rape

Muhammad allowed his men to rape the women captured in raids. However Muslims faced a dilemma. They wanted to have sex with their female captives, but also wanted to return them for ransom and therefore did not want to make them pregnant. Some of these women were already married whose husbands had escaped when taken by surprise and were still alive. The raiders considered the possibility of “coitus interruptus” (withdrawing from intercourse before ejaculation). Unsure of the best course of action, they sought the counsel of their Prophet. Buhkari reports:

Abu Saeed said “We went out with Allah’s Apostle for the Ghazwa of Banu Al-Mustaliq and we received captives from among the Arab captives and we desired women and celibacy became hard on us and we loved to do coitus interruptus. So when we intended to do coitus interruptus, we said “How can we do coitus interruptus before asking Allah’s Apostle who is present among us?” We asked (him) about it and he said “It is better for you not to do so, for if any soul (till the Day of Resurrection) is predestined to exists, it will exist.

Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 459.

Muhammed did not forbid raping the captive women. Instead he made an asinine claim that when Allah intends to create someone, nothing can prevent it. He told his men that coitus interruptus is ill-advised because it would be an attempt to thwart the will of Allah. He did not say a word against the rape of the captives, and by discouraging coitus interruptus, he supported forced insemination.

He made even his god legitimize intercourse with women captured in wars, the so-called “right hand possessions,” even if they were married before their capture.

Except to his sycophant press, on the issues of Palestine and Israel, Blinken is really irrelevant. He has no real influence on the players that are relevant
