I don’t want Beshear to have this authority but difficult to believe this is constitutional given the constitution says it is the governor’s authority.

They may be able to get by with requiring a special election within a shortened period of time to fill the remainder of the term, however, and that pass constitutional muster.

What’s going with McConnell health wise? He makes Biden look vigorous and well. Do you think he’ll last out the term? Appearance wise, three years looks like a long shot for him.

DITTO! Can they take steps to change the Kentucky Constitution? They need to think long term.

I don’t think this will survive a court challenge. If we really want this there will need to be an amendment to Kentucky’s constitution.

Can you elaborate on why an amendment to the KY Const is necessary. These drive by comments about it being unconstitutional does not help educate us.
