RE: Beshear would appoint a rat to fill Mitch's seat. As long as Republicans control the KY legislature, he cannot. Their KY rules are that the Gov can select from the legislature's proposed replacements. We mostly need McConnell off the NRSC and any other Republican election roles. He made sure to remain the minority in the senate by withholding campaign support from good candidates. Let's ditch Mitch!

Let’s assume Beshear tries to skirt the law appoints a Rat, forces a federal judge to intervene. Will it be a leftist federal judge in Ky or a normal federal who will rule?

Now it's full speed ahead to get rid of McConnell because you are 100% correct about him working against good candidates. When you go back to the 2018 midterms and look closely, you see that the GOPe didn't just throw the House over to the RATS, but that McConnell blew three or four winnable races with his usual lack of support at key points and then continued more of the same in 2020 and 2022.
